Get Ready for the Exciting Peach Kids Triathlon!
The community of Alpharetta is buzzing with excitement as the Peach Kids Triathlon returns to Wills Park this Sunday, May 18! Designed for children aged 6 to 14, this triathlon promises to be a memorable event filled with laughter, fitness, and friendly competition.
Fun and Fitness at Wills Park
The festivities kick off at 7:30 a.m. with the Seniors’ race (ages 12-14) followed by Intermediates (ages 9-11) at 8:00 a.m., and Juniors (ages 6-8) at 8:30 a.m. Each race is crafted to engage kids in swimming, biking, and running, ensuring a fun experience tailored to each age group’s skill level. Participants will be cheered on by family and friends, showcasing the strong community spirit of Alpharetta.
Fostering Confidence and Achievement
Janet Rodgers, President & CEO of the Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau, emphasized the positive impact of the triathlon on young athletes. She stated, "The Peach Kids Triathlon is a wonderful way for young athletes to push their limits and build confidence. Turn the race into a weekend adventure by exploring our beautiful parks and enjoying delicious meals at local restaurants!"
Celebrating Every Finish Line
Every child who completes the race will take home a commemorative medal, recognizing their dedication and effort. Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, with ribbons for those in 4th and 5th place. The sense of achievement is not just about winning but also about the personal victories each young participant will experience.
